Glassmaking at the Pit of Memnon

[Whole folio] Upper scene; men are loading the sand from the pit near the tomb of Memnon, and carrying it away. Below, an oval roofed oven with two openings, containing pans for melting. One glassblower dips the end of his pipe into into the oven, while the other is blowing. On left there is an extension for cooling the glass, and on the other side an assistant is adding fuel to the deep oven
