Clandestine marriage
[Miniature only] Initial 'C', a scene representing clandestine marriage. A friar joining the the right hand of the man with the left hand of the woman; a canonist pointing a finger on the right. The clandestine nature of the marriage is indicated by the presence of a friar rather than a priest, and by the irregular joining of hands Image taken from Omne Bonum.
