Preparing and cooking the food
[Whole folio] Psalm 113, with border decoration. Lower margin, a kitchen scene. On the left, an elderly bearded cook, perhaps representing John of Bridgford, Sir Geoffrey Luttrell's cook, dips a colander into one of three large cauldrons which are steaming over a log fire. A young man chops geen vegetables with two large knives on a three-legged table; and on the right, a bearded cook pounds a huge mortar with a pestle twice his own height Image taken from Luttrell Psalter. Originally published/produced in England [East Anglia]; circa 1325-1335.
