Whole folio. End of Psalm 34. Psalm 35 beginning with initial 'D', the head of a young queen with a gold crown. Border decoration including, in the lower margin, a bearded hooded man pulling aside his tunic to reveal the body of a hybrid grotesque with foliate tail. In the upper margin, an old man or woman in a cloak and a youth sit, conversing in sign language, using their hands. At the side, a young male acrobat, one leg raised, balances on his shoulders the swaying figure of a young woman. She is viewed from behind, and is wearing a fashionable purple gown with long loose sleeves. Image taken from the Luttrell Psalter. Originally produced in England [East Anglia]; circa 1325-1335.
